The Village Services

The Grange has a wide variety of services to make residents feel comfortable and at home. These services range from cleaning & maintenance to health & beauty. The Grange also has an emergency call system which is manned 24/7. At most times there is a registered nurse on duty to assist in case of medical or other emergencies. The main Grange telephone is manned 24/7.

The Grange Village is located at 2 McAuley Place, Waitara, NSW 2077. This places The Grange within a short distance of public transport and shops with Waitara railway station just 200 metres from the Village. There is a train service from Waitara to the city or to Hornsby every 15 minutes along with regular local bus services.

Aside from the shops at Waitara station, the main shopping centres used by Village residents are the Westfield Centre at Hornsby (2km away) and the Wahroonga Village shops (also about 2km away). For a small fee, residents can use a weekly bus service for travelling to the shopping centre.

The Hornsby & Ku-ring-gai District Hospital is about 2.5km away from the village and The Sydney Adventist Hospital is in the adjacent suburb of Wahroonga. Extensive medical services are available in the Hornsby and Wahroonga areas.


The Grange is a safe and secure place to live. Access to most parts of the village is by key access through locked gates. Owners' front door keys also provide access to the property.

Emergency assistance is always available. either from a registered nurse or other staff with first aid training. In addition to this, there is a nightly security patrol to give you peace of mind.
